I was not sure after reading the reviews if this product would work in my application. Half of the reviews were for and half were against. I figured it was worth the 50-50 risk to give it a try. Not only did it pay off; I liked the fan so well, I ordered another. I'm having my electrician back to install the second one this afternoon! What makes this fan so very different from others I've seen is its dark green color and six, large paddle leaves. They create quite a stir. The dark green metal parts and leaves provide a calming effect in the center of my room. I feel this neutrality would make this fan suitable for any situation. Three frosted globes, angled in different directions and outfitted with warm white energy saving bulbs, provide much needed "extra light" for the center of my room. Even the pulls are attractive and easily accessible from the floor. The long pull works the lights (long for light) which makes them easily distinguishable from one another. I definitely recommend that an electrician put together and hang this light. Fan parts come well-packaged in two molded styrofoam trays. These parts need someone who knows mechanics better than I to put them together correctly. The fan works quietly on all settings and is very effective stirring up a breeze. This fixture hangs at just the right height from the ceiling so that it isn't the first thing I notice when entering the room. It was purchased to replace its fifteen year-old counterpart which had one light and four paddles. It hung much lower and wobbled on all settings. There is not even a hint of a wobble on any setting with this one. I am very pleased I accepted the risk and ordered this unique item.
