This scanner is great, well worth the money. Sadly, in today's world, one must take serious steps to protect themselves and their property. This scanner is a step toward just that very thing. I worked for 20 years in the Criminal Justice system. Believe me, we have some very angry, disturbed and just downright mean people out there. And they are not opposed to helping themselves to whatever you may have that they want. One can be killed (and have been) for a pair of athletic shoes, or less than that. It behooves all of us to be aware and to be prepared for what could happen, while it is our fervent hope, that nothing does. I have also purchased a Security Camera for my home.
