Being that this was not a "Mighty Dwarf", I was not sure it would have the power to make me feel the investment was worth it. But I became attached to this little rocker the first time I played a song from the SDHC micro card I inserted with my mp3 songs on it. It was all good from there. I placed it on the wood and glass coffee table and the room literally was filled with the pleasant sounds I enjoy so much (even at 62, I'm a rock, soul, ballad, pop, jazz man). The FM radio is clear and gets all the stations. When I hooked it to my tablet, the movie was more enjoyable because of the enhanced audio. I recommend this item to anyone wanting to enjoy their favorite tunes anywhere there's a surface of substance. One caveat: the flimsy remote control had to be reinforced with scotch tape, as the metal face pulls away at the seams. I requested a new one and am still waiting for its delivery. Other than that, it's good to go.

I meant to say that the remote control doesn't work. I wrote the company but have yet gotten a response. Sent Wards a note about that and am waiting for a response. I'm sure they will remedy that.

After having charged the unit for two hours I was more than pleasantly surprised at what I heard when I connected my Android tablet to this baby. The first was my computer desk, the average student desk with plenty of wood. Just great sound and plenty of bass. Next, was my office desk, a huge monster you see in corporate offices. Wow! If floored me! The bass, mids and highs were clear and forceful. I am totally satisfied, with only one regret: the FM tuner does not work, as some others have pointed out about this product elsewhere on the internet (not the Mighty Dwarf, but this unit from North Point Premier). I didn't purchase it for the FM radio, but that makes my overall rating a 4 instead of the 5 it would have deserved.
