I needed a place to conveniently store my shoes (flats). I searched diligently to find a piece with just the right measurements. Because I can't have shoes exposed, I needed a container of some sort. I came across this piece and revisited it several times, while still searching for other options. Each time, I returned to this piece. It's beautiful, multi-purposed and was absolutely the right size for the space available, so I ordered it. Naturally, it arrived disassembled and I, alone, had to put it together (a 62-year-old woman). All I could do was dive in. In what seemed to be well over 100 parts/pieces (including connectors), once sorted and aligned, it all made sense. The picture instructions were "OK", but some of the holes were not well-drilled and several of the back panels of the drawers were split. I was able to work it out and the split panels did not affect the ultimate construction of the piece. My construction time, over 2 days was about 6-7 hours. All-in-all, I'm very pleased with the piece because it is very beautiful and it serves my needs most sufficiently.

If at all possible, DO NOT SCREW the parts together!! If at all possible, try and use an airgun with nails or a hammer and nails. The wood SPLITS really bad! It took my husband 3hrs to put together and he is excellent at repairs.
