This repair kit is brilliant in its simplicity and effectiveness. It lets you repair a 1" hole and a 2" hole in just minutes, with no tools or experience. Simply peel and place the plastic membrane disc over the hole. Then peel the cover off the touch-up compound, place over the hole and smooth. Allow to dry 24-48 hours, then peel off the compound backing and frame, and gently sand. Everything you need is included in the kit: 2 discs, 2 compound sheets, 2 sandpaper sheets and touch-up compound. Easy instructions included.

This product did cover the hole but when the sanding began, it sanded through the spackle (I'm assuming that's the compound) through to the plastic ring. Otherwise it hardened well. I think its better for smaller holes.
