It's a grill, a skillet, a steamer and slow cooker all in one! Large capacity lets you cook for the whole family. Includes nonstick cooking pot with raised grill bars; cooking area is 13" w x 10" d. Plastic housing base is cool touch. Domed lid with steam vent; stainless steel probe with dial thermostat (200-450° F). Dishwasher-safe lid and base. 15 1/2" w x 8" h x 12 1/2" d.

It doesn’t have a removable pan it would be easier to clean if pan was removable. It was a nice item but it would of been nice if you can take pan off

Would have given it a 5 star but......
The only reason why I couldn't give this grillet a 5 star is because they did not build it with a drip pan. Without a drip pan, you are stuck with excess fat and grease. Then they burn and smoke. That being said, it is otherwise an awesome grillet. It chars, it sears, it does veggies and meat as if you are on a charcoal grill. Absolutely powerful. Comes with a cover so if you want to throw some cheese on whatever you are cooking, it will melt the tops. I use it mostly in the yard unless I have to cook inside due to rain because of the smoke. It's wonderful other than that.

Haven’t used it yet, but it already earns a three. 1) $26 to ship; P.O. says they will return it for $13! 2) Something very strange about grill review ratings! Found 4 different web sites offering this item. Three of the four have exactly the same 21 responses of which 19 rated the item 4 or 5 stars. Fourth site painted a different story. More 1 thru 3 ratings. H-m-m-m-m! Will post more, if allowed, after I use grill few times.

Was a little disappointed that you could not submerge the insert grill to clean, but it wipes out fairly easy, cooks awesome, and nothing ever sticks which is nice. The cover steams things beautifully and stops splatter when grilling. Price was about same or little cheaper than other retail stores. Does not weigh much either, I think it's well made. Glad I bought it.

What's the power source, plug in chord ?
Yes it's basically the same style as a electric skillet. In fact Aroma is pretty much a fancy electric skillet with a cast-iron interior and raised areas to mimic a grill. I love it. It also can be used as a slow cooker. I made awesome Chicken & Dumplings in it.

is the "skillet" a griddle...means flat for pancakes eggs etc

What color is the exterior of this skillet?
Maroon or plum is the color of the plastic holder on the outside. The skillet itself is cast iron inside in out or top and bottom.

Can you add the mesquite flavor under the grill rack for added flavor?
