Rated 4 out of 5 by Red from Good for my Application I was on the fence about buying this cabinet. A few of the "not sturdy" reviews almost made me look at something else. However, I decided to give it a try. Assembly was fairly simple and, dare I say, easy. The bottom half assemble quickly with no issues. A lot of reviews state that the holes don't line up, but-I found that statement untrue and here's why: if you don't have certain pieces affixed properly, it will cause the structure to lean, even very slightly. This is an upright piece and much of the assembly is shown lying on the back or sides. I used a hammer (regular) to ensure that the wooden pegs were set all the way once I had applied glue and attached the pieces, as needed. I stood the piece up, as it would be if I am using it and braced it on a sturdy wall. Please don't try this on a thin wall, as you could put a hole in your dry wall. I firmly tapped the middle section (where the holes align) to ensure that the slots are connected well. The top piece was quite flimsy so this is what I did instead. I connected one of the two side pieces (#6 and 7) to the already assembled bottom (with the bottom piece standing upright) and followed with a the middle section (the piece to make the top area). After I had that connected, I connected the other side piece (etiher 6 or 7, it's really your preference on which one to use first.). This allowed me to have some leverage. Once, I got that piece attached to the rest of the assembly, I slide the back piece (#11) into place. Everything else fell in place beautifully. The doors were easy to put on and I let my daughters (3 and 5) screw the knobs on while I was assembling the piece. In all, it took me about 35 minutes from start to finish. I am not using this for the kitchen and had always planned to use it as a dresser/clothes keeper in my walk-in closet to free up space in my bedroom.

Rated 2 out of 5 by LouLou from Odd color I bought this 2 weeks ago.... Fast shipping.... The color is odd and it is not very solid... Not all the holes lined up.. So it was a bit of a struggle to put it together... The size is perfect for what I needed it for...

Rated 1 out of 5 by Nina from Very bad. I bought this thinking I can put it in my kitchen for food and other stuff but was not what I thought it would be. It is flimsy won't stay together and just not worth the problem or the money. It's a piece of garbage i do not recommend it to anyone.

Are the shelves sturdy enough to hold my stand mixer?
The bottom shelf would be the best one for heavier items. I have canned drinks stacked on it. I have been using the upper shelves for heavy stuff withought any issues yet. I have flour, sugar, rice, & stuff like that on a middle shelf & canned & jarred stuff on another. I probably have about 25-30 lbs on a middle shelf & about 30-40 lbs on another but it's more dispersed than 1 big item. I store an empty cooler on top of the cabinet.
