The panels are the perfect effect of darkness. It gives a bit of ambiance during the day. Nice color too. Not too tan not tooo golden.

These are see thru and not solid/dark like in the pictures.Yet another misleading product from Montgomery Ward...$30 shipping (which is ridiculous) and would cost me that much to return. My bad, I have to learn not to order from them.

Does Not Darken Room
These are pretty panels, and I like the rod pocket not being at the very top of the curtain so you get a nice ruffle. Very generous. But technically this is closer to a sheer than a room darkening panel. In general you expect a lining on a room darkening panel.
