I bought two of these to put at the end of my split king bed. They work great and they look great. Received them today and put the feet on. They are well made and heavy. Good buy.

This bench is everything i thought it would be. BUT the storage space just a little bit smaller and the complete size was a little smaller in person compared to how the pic looks online. THE BEST THING was how it was shipped! It was completely protected and the box is thick! I was happy to see that!

Great piece of furniture, I love it.
For the price I expected something of lesser quality, but you can see right away, when unboxing, that it's well made. From the drawers having slight hammer dings at the nails & the paint applied to every inside surface evenly and with a closer look the hand blended brush strokes. Those small details show this item was either made by hand or in the least finished with skilled handcraftsmanship.

Can I sit on it? How much weight can it support? Does the top open, and is there hinges for the top?
You can sit on it, I would guess it holds like 250 lbs. There were 2 grown women about 125 lbs each sitting on it during a family gathering without any problems. It does open can't remember if there's a hinge. My son took it with him when he moved out.
